Bicycling in the Blue Ridge

Heading back down the mountainSpring is just around the corner, I promise it is. And if you are a cyclist you are eager to get out of hibernation and pedal yourself back to fitness. Now is the ideal time to make your plans for the upcoming riding season. I highly recommend including a trip to the Blue Ridge Mountains as a part of those plans. Beautiful scenery, challenging terrain and lightly travelled roads all make for an excellent cycling destination. So if you are planning a tour through the Blue Ridge Parkway, a training camp or participation in one of the High Country’s cycling events such as the Boone-Roubaix, Blood Sweat and Gears, or the Blue Ridge Brutal, we at Mountain View Lodge and Cabins hope you will consider us when making your arrangements.W e are conveniently located right on the Blue Ridge Parkway at mile marker 256 in Glendale Springs, NC, and each cabin is equipped with whirlpool tubs to relax in after a hard days riding, while the lodge has the room to accommodate larger touring groups or clubs.
