High Country Brewpubs

Wednesday, March 15th, 2017

To craft beer enthusiasts, such as myself, Western North Carolina has been known for some time to foster a burgeoning beer culture. Until recently, however, that has meant exclusively the Asheville/Black Mountain area. Now the High Country a couple of hours north boasts its own nascent craft beer scene. Depot, where you will find excellent offerings of each.

And recently, Boondocks Brewing Tap Room and Restaurant in West Jefferson has been voted best beer bar in North Carolina by the readers of Their steaks are mighty good too!
